Kharvas/ Milk pudding/ Junnu/ Inari/Chik

This is very special kind of pudding and the reason behind this "Mom". Until now Ammi prepare kharavas and nobody is taking the initiative to prepare it. You call me lazy but Ammi k hath ka khana (Moms cooking) mmmmmmmmm. We do get fresh colostrum's milk from dairy and it should be on first day, coz if it is on second day you have to decrease the normal milk quantity.
Colostrum's milk is thick, sticky and yellowish milk liquid produced from the mammary glands of cows/buffalo during the first 24 to 48 hours after giving birth to a calf. Colostrum's are very rich in proteins, vitamin A, and sodium chloride, but contain lower amounts of carbohydrates, lipids, and potassium than normal milk.

Ingredients:
Colostrum milk290 ml
Milk (normal)1 lit
Black peppper (pwd)1 tsp
Sugar300 gm

Method:
  1. Dissolve sugar in to milk, add colostrums milk in to it.
  2. Pour the milk in to a container that will fit in a steamer/ large pan with enough water in the outer space for steaming.
  3. Sprinkle black pepper powder (Kali mirch) on top of it.
  4. Cover with a lid and steam for 25-30 minutes on a slow flame.
  5. Cut into pieces and chill it in the fridge for a few hours before serving.

      1. My father has insisted her to add cardamom powder, and she prepared on his wish.
But I like black pepper more over cardamom and this is how we always had.
